M0, M1, M2 - Year-on-Year Percentage Changes

We note that the year-on-year percentage change in M1 Money Stock has increased to a great extent from 2008 to middle of 2009. This correlates with the Federal Reserve’s efforts to stimulate the economy by putting more money into the economy and into the hands of the consumers. From the middle of 2009 to present, the change is still significant which implies that the Fed continues to flood the economy with money.
